"I was born into one of the few cultures which retain a bit of reverence for Death. A reverence viewed by many as a backward mode of thinking, and dismissed as a relic of an ignorant and superstitious past. This poem however, explores the concept of Death in a logical manner, under the rubric of natural selection, and concludes that unappreciation of Death is actually the backward mode of thinking, given the primal role Death plays within the system of creation."
